The FIA released the document with the updates declared by the teams for the Belgian Grand Prix of Formula 1, in Spa-Francorchamps. The material shows Racing Bulls and Haas as the teams with the highest number of novelties for the weekend, with four updates each. Mercedes and Williams appear right behind, with three declared items.
Unlike stages with broader development packages, the Belgium document points to a clear trend: several teams brought specific parts for the characteristics of Spa, a circuit marked by long acceleration stretches, fast corners, and the need for a balance between straight-line speed and grip.
Update ranking for the Belgian GP
1st – Racing Bulls: 4 updates
Racing Bulls tops the list, with changes in the side bodywork area and engine cover, in the upper air intake, in the front assembly, and in the rear wing. The package aims to improve how air passes through the car and reaches the rear, as well as increase the efficiency of the rear wing at Spa.
1st – Haas: 4 updates
Haas also declared four novelties. The team worked on the front wing, the side of the front wing, the front assembly, and the beam wing. The overall reading is of a package aimed at improving the aerodynamic balance of the car, with attention both to load generation and efficiency on a high-speed track.
3rd – Mercedes: 3 updates
Mercedes brought three changes for the Belgian GP. The main one is on the rear wing, adjusted to reduce aerodynamic pressure and drag to a level more suitable for Spa. The team also worked on the rear assembly, with small fins in the brake duct area, and on the side of the front wing, seeking to improve airflow to the rest of the car.
3rd – Williams: 3 updates
Williams also appears with three items. The team declared changes in the rear assembly and in two areas of the floor. Part of the changes is specific to Spa and aims to adjust the relationship between grip and resistance to the car’s advancement. Another change in the floor focuses on improving the diffuser’s operation.
5th – McLaren: 2 declared updates
McLaren brought two changes, both on the rear wing. One alters the side of the wing to improve air control in that region. The other is a new rear wing assembly specific to Spa, designed to reduce drag on the straights without losing efficiency in the corners.

Audi, Gabriel Bortoleto’s team, declared two novelties. The first is a rear wing specific to the Belgian GP, adjusted to the aerodynamic demands of the circuit. The second is a small change in the diffuser, seeking to improve the behavior of the airflow at the rear of the car.

7th – Red Bull: 1 declared update
Red Bull presented a single change in the FIA document. The update is on the rear wing, more specifically on the supports of the piece, aiming to generate more aerodynamic load and preserve airflow stability.
7th – Alpine: 1 declared update
Alpine declared a novelty on the halo, with a new fairing and a small fin. The proposal is to improve the airflow path towards the rear of the car and generate aerodynamic gain in that region.
7th – Cadillac: 1 declared update
Cadillac brought a change on the side of the front wing. The team altered lower surfaces and small directing fins to improve the quality of the air reaching the floor, a fundamental area for generating aerodynamic load.
Ferrari: no updates
Ferrari did not present updates in the FIA technical document for the Belgian GP. This does not prevent setup changes during the weekend but indicates that the team did not declare new parts for Spa.
Aston Martin: no updates
Aston Martin also did not declare any news for the Belgian GP. As with Ferrari, the team can still work on setup adjustments but without new updates registered in the FIA document.
The ranking shows that the number of updates does not tell the whole story. At Spa-Francorchamps, a single rear wing specific to the circuit can be as important as a larger package, since the track demands a delicate compromise between straight-line speed and stability in fast corners. Still, the document indicates where each team concentrated their efforts before the start of activities in Belgium.
