The future of the four-time champion has been the subject of much debate and rumors in recent weeks. With Red Bull’s complicated phase this season, they are pointing to the clause in his contract where he can leave before the end of the agreement – 2027 – due to performance.
In Belgium, then, when asked if he will stay in Woking in 2027 in F1, Piastri was direct in saying “yes.” He then added, “I didn’t know that was a point of controversy.”

“Obviously, I saw and heard some of the rumors; personally, I feel very calm about my situation and my position, and Zak and Andrea have been great and very reassuring about it. Clearly, Max doesn’t feel very comfortable at the moment and is exploring options. It was the same thing last year with him and Mercedes, so it’s nothing new, but I’m very happy with where I am and the direction things are going,” he continued.
“I don’t worry much about it. It’s important that people know how things are, how the market is, and any information you can get is valid. So, I trust the team, what I’ve been told, and the confidence they place in me; that’s really all that matters to me,” he concluded.
