Oliver Bearman stated that he was flattered to have his name associated with Red Bull, but emphasized that his main goal for the future remains to secure a spot at Ferrari, the team that played a fundamental role in his arrival in Formula 1. The speculation arose after Sky Sports commentator David Croft pointed to the Haas driver as a possible option for the Austrian team.

“Over his shoulder is the Red Bull hospitality unit. Laurent Mekies, the team principal, was the man who signed Ollie Bearman to the Ferrari Academy. I know Red Bull is keeping a close eye on Ollie Bearman. If he doesn’t get an entry at Scuderia, this could be a very good option for Red Bull and for Ollie,” said Croft.
In an interview with GPBlog in Spa, Bearman acknowledged that being linked to such a successful team as Red Bull is a positive thing, but stressed that the rumors do not change his focus on Haas: “It’s very flattering to hear things like that. A team like Red Bull has been incredibly successful, so being associated with them in any way, even if it’s just rumors, is very cool. But, as I said, they are just rumors, and I’m fully focused on what I’m doing here with Haas at the moment.”

The British driver also stated that he hopes his path leads to Ferrari in the future, recalling that the Italian team supported him since Formula 3 and was essential for his Formula 1 debut: “I hope so. I don’t have full control over that, but Ferrari trusted me from the start in Formula 3. And put me in that car in 2024 as well, and it really is the reason I’m here now. At the moment, I’m enjoying what I’m doing with Haas, and the faster I go now, the easier I make my life in the future.”
Bearman also revealed that he does not have a contract for next season: “At the moment, I don’t have a contract for next year. I’m just waiting in the dark.”
