Vitor Genz won Race 1 of the fourth stage of the 2026 NASCAR Brazil season this Sunday (28), at the Velocitta Racetrack, in Mogi Guaçu (SP) after overtaking Gabriel Casagrande in the final seconds of the race. Casagrande, who took the lead early in the race, finished second, while Galid Osman completed the podium.

As soon as the start was authorized, Thiago Camilo made a good move to maintain first position, with Gabriel Casagrande right behind. The first lap went incident-free. The two took advantage to open a gap from the rest of the pack.

Further back, Nicolas Costa moved up from sixth to fifth, overtaking Gui Backes and Arthur Gama. Meanwhile, Vitor Genz was closing in on Galid Osman to contest third place. The two ran side by side and Genz secured the position. Then, Gama also overtook Backes.

At the start of the third lap, Casagrande managed to dive inside the track and took the lead. In tenth, Ricardo Zonta pressured Firás Fahs and moved up to ninth, but the rookie quickly recovered.
The race continued at a good pace for the next few minutes, with Casagrande opening a gap over Camilo, while Genz closed in on his teammate. At the start of the seventh lap, Genz took second place.

With eight minutes still on the clock, Gama managed to return to fifth place by overtaking Costa.

A few minutes later it was Juninho Berlanda’s turn to overtake Alfredinho Ibiapina for 12th position. Up front, Osman went after Camilo and secured third place.
In the final stretch, Casagrande came under pressure from Genz and was overtaken in the final seconds of the race. Genz secured the victory, with Casagrande and Osman completing the podium. Gama finished fourth, followed by Camilo and Costa. Cacá Bueno was seventh, accompanied by Ricardo Zonta and Gui Backes. Juninho Berlanda closed the top 10.
NASCAR Brazil will also hold Race 2 of the weekend at Velocitta this Sunday (28), starting at 2:15 PM.
