Gabriele Mini was the fastest driver in the sole free practice session for the fourth round of the 2026 Formula 2 season. In the session held on Thursday morning (4) at the street circuit in Monte Carlo, Monaco, the MP Motorsport driver, championship leader, recorded a time of 1min21s809 in the final moments of the practice.

Second position went to Kush Maini, the ART Grand Prix driver who finished with a time 0s020 behind Mini’s. Alexander Dunne, from Rodin Motorsport, closed the practice with the third fastest time, ahead of Dino Beganovic, fourth with a DAMS car. The top five also included Laurens van Hoepen, with Trident.
Nikola Tsolov, Campos Racing driver, finished the activity with the sixth best time, while Noel León, Tsolov’s teammate, was seventh. Roman Bilinski, with DAMS, was eighth, while Martinius Stenshorne, from Rodin, completed the session with the ninth time. Rafael Câmara, championship runner-up, was tenth with Invicta. Emmo Fittipaldi took AIX Racing to 19th place.
The session had an interruption after just ten minutes, when Oliver Goethe stopped with the MP Motorsport car on track, causing a red flag. With 18 minutes remaining, it was Rafael Villagómez’s turn to hit the wall with the Van Amersfoort car.

The Formula 2 schedule in Monaco will continue this Friday (5) with qualifying, scheduled for 10:10 AM. The Sprint is scheduled for 9:15 AM on Saturday, while the main race starts at 4:35 AM on Sunday.
