On this Wednesday (3), Ferrari announced that Charles Leclerc has renewed with the team for multiple years. Although he has not yet won a world title, the Monegasque has already starred in historic moments with the Maranello team. Among them are his victories in Spa, Monza, and Monaco, three of the most important triumphs in his Formula 1 career.

After years of frustrations in Monaco, Leclerc finally won at home in 2024. After securing pole position, the driver controlled the race even after the red flag caused by the accident involving Sergio Pérez, Kevin Magnussen, and Nico Hülkenberg on the first lap. The result ended his long streak of disappointments at the circuit, secured Ferrari’s first victory in Monaco since 2017, and made him the first Monegasque to win the race.
Leclerc’s first F1 victory happened at the 2019 Belgian GP, a weekend marked by the death of his friend Anthoine Hubert. After starting from pole, the driver resisted pressure from Lewis Hamilton in the final laps to achieve an emotional triumph.
A week later, he won again at the Italian GP. In Monza, also starting from pole, he held off attacks from Mercedes and ended a nine-year Ferrari drought in front of the tifosi, becoming the first driver since Fernando Alonso in 2010 to win the race for the team.

Commenting on his contract renewal with Ferrari, Leclerc reaffirmed his commitment to bring the team back to the top of Formula 1: “In a world where everything moves quickly, these values mean even more to me today. This renewal is not just about the future. It is also about everything we have already experienced together and the legacy we continue to carry. Being a Ferrari driver is a privilege and a responsibility that I never take for granted. I will continue to give absolutely everything I have to help bring this team back to where it belongs: at the very top.”
He also thanked Ferrari staff and the tifosi, ending the message with a promise: “The dream is still alive, and I am proud to continue chasing it together with you.”
