Audi faces the Monaco GP as another important step in its growth process in Formula 1. In one of the most demanding weekends of the season, the team seeks to continue evolving in areas considered fundamental to its development.

According to Allan McNish, the team’s competition director, each completed race represents progress for the project. He highlighted that the work still involves various aspects, from performance and reliability to operational execution during events.
“Every race we complete is a step forward. We are still a young team and there is a lot of work to be done in all aspects, from performance to reliability and operations,” McNish said. The director added that the main goal for the stage is to maintain the trajectory of progress in one of the most complex challenges on the calendar.
McNish emphasized that Monaco demands full confidence from drivers and the team from the first laps. For him, the race represents another opportunity for learning and improvement, allowing the group to continue advancing in the planned direction.
Besides the sporting objectives, the Monaco GP also marks the start of the European phase of the season for the category. The director revealed that Audi’s hospitality structure will make its debut in the paddock during the event, the result of extensive work carried out behind the scenes.

“It will be another opportunity to keep learning, evolving, and moving in the right direction as a team. This race also marks the start of the European season, with our new hospitality debuting in the paddock this weekend,” he added.
For the Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto’s teammate, Nico Hulkenberg, the Monaco stage remains one of the most special in Formula 1. The experienced driver highlighted not only the historical importance of the race but also the fact of having family and close friends during the event, something that makes the occasion even more meaningful for him.
The German said the circuit demands immediate adaptation and offers no margin for errors: “You need to find your rhythm from the first lap because there is no room for mistakes and no real opportunity to make up for errors,” he commented.
Hulkenberg also emphasized the balance existing in the midfield pack and believes that a good performance on Saturday will be decisive: “The middle of the grid is extremely balanced, so getting it right in qualifying will be crucial. Monaco can always surprise, and that is exactly what makes it so special,” he concluded.
