Driver defending AMattheis Vogel in NASCAR Brazil, Gabriel Casagrande showed speed in the races that marked the third stage of the championship, held this Sunday (31) at the Interlagos Circuit, in São Paulo (SP). The owner of car number 83 fought for the top positions in both races, but a penalty in the first race and a contact suffered in the second prevented good results in the São Paulo capital.

“I was doing very well after having the first race ruined by the penalty, in an incident that was my fault. I was climbing through the pack with a car that was very responsive, even suffering a bit with the speed, I took advantage of the slipstream and the accidents. Passing the third-placed driver, I took a hit on the front wheel and it broke. I dragged myself on the last lap and scored a point,” said Gabriel Casagrande, who is sponsored by Baterias Júpiter, Axalta, OnPetro, STP, Cresol, RP Info, UFI Filters, Chevrolet, and OMP.
“We will probably discard both races from today, but I remain in the top 3 of the championship. So, I still have ballast. But one good thing is that Nicolas (Costa) leads, with a fast car, so we know we have the potential to fight at the front,” Casagrande adds, referring to his teammate at AMattheis Vogel.

After the stop at the Interlagos Circuit, NASCAR Brazil continues in the state of São Paulo and holds its fourth stage on June 28, when it visits Velocitta, a circuit located in Mogi Guaçu.
