The third stage of the 2026 NASCAR Brazil season will be held this weekend, from May 29 to 31, at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo, and one of the highlights among the competitors is the São Paulo native Witold Ramasauskas, leader of the Challenge with 60 points. Driving the Chevrolet Camaro for Team RC, he arrives in good form after securing three podiums in the first two stages, held in Santa Cruz do Sul and Cascavel.

Racing at home, Ramasauskas tries to turn the good momentum into his first victory with the RiSE26 model of NASCAR Brazil this season. He highlights the extra motivation of competing at Interlagos, a track where he has previously won.
“Racing at home is always good, I wish there were more races in São Paulo! My two NASCAR Brazil wins were at home and we will work hard to achieve good results,” Ramasauskas commented.
Despite leading, the driver will face an additional challenge in this stage: the “success ballast,” as he will race with an extra 30 kg in the car. He acknowledges the impact of weight on performance, especially on the climbs of the São Paulo circuit.

“The trend is that we will suffer (at Interlagos) due to the extra weight on the climbs, so my team and I worked to reduce as much weight as possible to mitigate this; certainly, the focus now is on strategy, aiming to score as many points as possible to be in the title fight at the end of the year,” he concluded.
The schedule at Interlagos starts on Friday (29) with free practice sessions. On Saturday (30), there will be another practice session, qualifying, and the Sprint Race. On Sunday (31), the two main races that close the stage will be held.
The stage will also be broadcast live on ESPN and Disney+, as well as on the category’s official YouTube channel (@nascarbrasil).
