The only Brazilian on the grid of the German Porsche Cup, Matheus Ferreira achieved another top-5 this season. The result was obtained in the race that closed the fourth double round of the championship, held this Sunday (24) at the Zandvoort Circuit, in the Netherlands, after the owner of car number 27 from GP Elite crossed the finish line in fifth place. The stage was the last before the opening of the Porsche Supercup, a category that holds its races on the Formula 1 GP schedule.

“It was a good race, we ended up in the top-5, which is always our goal. I had a very good start, overtaking some drivers in the first corner, but right at the third corner there was a crash that I managed to avoid, but I got a bit stuck and that made me lose two positions. It was an intense race, it is very difficult to overtake here and the dirty air is strong on this track, but I am happy with the top-5,” said Matheus Ferreira, who also achieved an eighth place in the first race.
With the results from this weekend, Matheus remains in fifth place in the championship, now totaling 91 points. The Brazilian’s campaign in the German Porsche Cup this season includes a podium, with third place at Spa-Francorchamps, five top-5 finishes, and all races with results among the top ten.
After the German Porsche Cup stage, Matheus Ferreira is now preparing for his debut in the Porsche Supercup, which opens its 2026 season on June 7 in Monaco. The driver, who will also be the only Brazilian on the grid of the “Porsche World Championship,” shows excitement for the stage and for racing on the streets of Monte Carlo for the first time.

“In two weeks I make my debut in the Porsche Supercup in Monaco, for the opening of the championship. I am very excited and confident and it is my dream to race in Monaco, so I will try to push hard there,” adds Matheus Ferreira, who will also represent the GP Elite team in this championship.
The Porsche Supercup stage in Monaco will be held between June 4 and 7. The German Porsche Cup is entering its final half, opening the German leg of the championship between June 19 and 21, at the Lausitzring circuit.
