Sebastian Vettel made an important change outside of Formula 1 by ending his seventeen-year partnership with Britta Roeske, who was responsible for his communication since the Red Bull Racing days. The separation marks the end of one of the longest professional relationships in the category’s paddock.

The German, a four-time world champion in the category, worked alongside Roeske since his first full season at Red Bull in 2009. The press officer continued to be part of Vettel’s close circle even after his retirement from F1 at the end of 2022.
According to information published by F1 Insider, Britta Roeske will officially leave the former driver’s communication team to start ‘a new professional chapter.’ In a statement released by the German publication, she described the period alongside Vettel as ‘remarkable and enriching,’ both personally and professionally.
Before working directly with Vettel, she already had a long career in Formula 1. Roeske joined Red Bull before the team’s debut season in 2005, after a stint at Renault, now Alpine.
With the departure of the professional, a new team is expected to take over the management of Vettel’s public relations going forward. So far, no details have been released about who will be responsible for the German’s communication.

Since leaving Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season, Vettel has focused much of his activities on environmental campaigns and social projects. Despite retirement, the former driver continues to make occasional appearances in the category’s paddock.
In 2023, he was at the Japanese GP promoting a campaign in defense of bee populations. At the 2024 Emilia Romagna GP, he led tributes to Ayrton Senna on the thirtieth anniversary of the Brazilian three-time champion’s death in Imola, during which he drove the 1993 McLaren MP4/8 using sustainable fuel.
The German also appeared at the 2024 São Paulo GP and maintains investments in the German SailGP team since leaving Formula 1. His most recent public appearance was at the London Marathon last month, where he ran in support of the Brain & Spine Foundation and The Grand Prix Trust, completing the race in under three hours.
