Charles Leclerc requested a detailed analysis from Ferrari after the Miami Formula 1 GP. The driver wants to understand why the car’s performance dropped significantly between the Sprint race and the main GP.

The questioning arises after a weekend that started promising and ended below expectations. After finishing third in the Sprint and starting in the same position on the GP grid, Leclerc saw his pace disappear throughout the race, finishing only eighth after a penalty.
During the first laps, the Monegasque even contested the lead with Kimi Antonelli and Lando Norris. However, as the race went on, he lost performance and came under pressure from rivals such as Oscar Piastri and George Russell.

The situation worsened after Russell’s early stop, which forced Ferrari to react immediately. From that moment, Leclerc’s race deteriorated, culminating in a chaotic final lap as he fought for a podium place.
The Monegasque highlighted that tire behavior was a decisive factor in the loss of performance: “With the mediums, we were not strong, we had very high degradation. With the hards, it was not good at the start, then improved a bit, but never at the level of the Sprint race. We need to analyze this. We lost a lot of performance and I want to understand exactly what happened,” he added.
