This performance reinforces the team’s recent progress after updates to the car, and the team managed to maximize the result with efficient strategy and good collective work during the race.
The team principal, James Vowles, highlighted the progress in recent weeks: “It’s great to see the hard work of the last five weeks paying off, the aerodynamic package put us in a better position than at the start of the season,” he said. He also emphasized the strategy adopted during the race: “We stopped Alex first to ensure he stayed ahead of (Oliver) Bearman and secured points for the team,” he stated.
Sainz praised the race execution and technical advancement: “It was another very solid Sunday, I had a good start and put myself in the fight for points. The pace was very good and we managed to execute everything correctly,” he said. The Spaniard highlighted that the team evolved after the recent break but acknowledged there is still room for growth.

Albon also valued the double result after a difficult start to the season: “It’s great to score points with both cars, we had a good start and I gained positions right in the first laps,” he commented. The driver added that the updates worked, although there is still work to extract the car’s full potential.
Vowles reinforced that there is more performance to be found throughout the season. The team now turns its attention to the Canadian GP, aiming to maintain consistency and continue scoring points regularly.
