The son of Felipe, former Formula 1 driver, performed well from the first time he sat in the car. Now making the jump from karts, he had little time to adapt and already started with good performance from the first practice.

Then, last Saturday and Sunday, he managed to show speed and crossed the finish line in first place on both occasions. Speaking to F1MANIA.NET after Porsche Cup race 2, he highlighted how he had to fight to seek the triumph.

“I am very happy, I didn’t expect it to be like this. I just want to thank God, my family, my friends, sponsors. Today was a race where we had to attack to the maximum to catch the first-place driver who was in front of me. We managed it, we even managed to pass other people from other categories, which helped us a lot,” he said.

Furthermore, Pipo commented on how he had never raced at Interlagos and how on Saturday he had his first real race and with that, he had to do a lot of study and preparation to get where he got.

“Yesterday was my first race at Interlagos actually on the circuit. So, the other times I drove at Interlagos were Thursday and Friday in this car, but most of them it rained. So, we had to adapt very quickly and watch many onboards, data, everything, to manage to get here where we are,” he added.
