This speculation arose in the Miami paddock, especially after the absence of aerodynamic updates on the car this weekend. While competitors presented robust packages, the British team continued without visible news.
Even in the face of a challenging competitive scenario, Aston Martin rejected the idea of concentrating all evolutions in a single major update: “‘B-spec’ car is not a term we use internally,” said a team spokesperson. According to him, development will follow the traditional model, with updates introduced throughout the season.

The team also highlighted that updates are planned in advance and will be applied when ready: “We never planned updates for Miami. We have a strategy defined for months and the news will be introduced in the next races as they are ready,” he added.
The current moment is considered difficult, especially for the drivers, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. The head of track operations, Mike Krack, acknowledged the impact of below-expected performance: “We are competitors and do not want to be at the back of the grid, but it is necessary to recognize reality when there are problems,” he said. He also highlighted the drivers’ attitude, stating: “Despite the frustration, they are great professionals and know that better times will come,” he concluded.
