Lando Norris had a lot of fun driving a Formula 1 car at Nürburgring. After participating in a tire test with Pirelli at the circuit, he said he understands why Max Verstappen ventures into GT3.

McLaren returned to the German track for the first time since the 2020 season. Both the Brit and Oscar Piastri took part in the activity, which was originally scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia, but due to the war in the Middle East, had to be rescheduled.
So, after having done a few laps at Nürburgring with a Formula 1 car, Norris highlighted the fun on the track. “To be honest, it was the most fun experience of the year. It was really cool. Also, it’s a circuit I have already driven in Gran Turismo and iRacing,” he said.

“He’s been on the simulator for years and it’s one of those tracks that everyone wants to drive. Whether you’re a professional driver or not, it’s always cool to go there and drive, because it’s something unique. It was my first real opportunity to drive on the Nordschleife. But I had also watched all the onboard videos,” he continued.
“I already knew the track by heart. I felt like I knew it, but I’ve also watched all the GT races that Max does, I have several friends who race GT, so I’ve been following it for years. So, it’s good to have my own view of the circuit, and I think it certainly lives up to all the expectations and things people say about it,” he concluded.
