Argentine Franco Colapinto is expecting one of the toughest Miami GPs this weekend. The Alpine driver, who last weekend drove a car from the French team through the streets of Buenos Aires in an event that gathered more than 600,000 people in the obelisk area, took the opportunity to celebrate a new sponsorship agreement valid for both the US stage and the Canadian GP.

“I have just experienced something unforgettable in Buenos Aires, I still can’t believe what it was like to drive an F1 at home. Now my focus is completely on Miami. We have a very demanding weekend ahead, and returning to the A526 with Mercado Livre’s colors makes everything even more special. This reinforces the passion for motorsport that Latin America shows so strikingly,” said Colapinto.
Mercado Livre was present on the Alpine car last season after Colapinto took over the seat from Jack Doohan, who did the first races of 2025 alongside Pierre Gasly. The Argentine company will be present again on the A526’s livery in the next two GPs, combining the yellow of its brand with the blue and pink, colors commonly used by the team.
“We are excited to see Mercado Livre’s yellow back on the track. This is our third year in F1 and we are living a truly special moment, connecting with the passion of millions of Latin American fans. As a brand, it is very meaningful to be part of this phenomenon and the culture and emotion that this competition generates,” said Sean Summers, EVP and CMO of Mercado Livre.

“Mercado Livre has been a partner in supporting the Franco Colapinto Road Show last weekend in Buenos Aires, which gathered a record number of fans and demonstrated the incredible passion for our sport. Our partnership with Mercado Livre gave us a natural opportunity to connect with audiences in Latin America, a region that historically has a strong link with F1 and is currently experiencing significant growth. The races on the American continent offer the ideal setting to continue strengthening this connection,” said Guy Martin, Alpine’s marketing director.
The F1 Miami GP will be held this Sunday, starting at 5 p.m., but the practice sessions will open this Friday.
