Williams has announced an unprecedented partnership that will break the limits of Formula 1. The British team has joined forces with the Marvel comic book brand, and Carlos Sainz, Alexander Albon, and James Vowles will become part of the superhero universe.

The comic book will be a unique edition released, with a story where the trio will have to face the villain Doctor Doom during a Formula 1 season. Additionally, other heroes will be part of the story such as Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America.
Williams announced that the unique comic book will be available for sale with exclusive variant covers for the event, in a special edition, starting from the Monaco GP, which takes place in June. In bookstores, it will arrive in October in the United States.
During the Miami GP weekend, fans will be able to pre-order at the Williams Fan Zone, which will also feature a mural with Marvel characters and a “giant photo opportunity with Marvel covers.”
Other different covers will be available in Silverstone, Madrid, Singapore, Austin, and Las Vegas.

Luke Timmins, Williams’ merchandising and licensing director, said, “Alex and Carlos are already heroes to our millions of fans, and now they can prove it in print form, joining Marvel Superheroes to save the races from Doctor Doom. We are proud to unite these two universes for the first time and hope this gives fans another way to discover and fall in love with our iconic Williams team.”
“There is no better place than Miami to launch a unique collaboration like this, and with special edition covers for races around the world, the story is just beginning,” he added.
It’s official – this week, Atlassian Williams F1 Team is entering the Marvel Universe.
The first-of-its-kind comic will see James, Carlos and Alex join Marvel heroes to battle Doctor Doom as he threatens to take down the racing calendar.
