Formula 1 is back. After a break in the calendar since the Japanese GP, the category resumes the 2026 season this weekend with the Miami Grand Prix, which marks the return of activities after the break and continues the championship with the fourth round of the year.

The first three races of the season have begun to shape the scenario of Formula 1’s new era. Mercedes emerged as the main force at the start, with George Russell leading the Drivers’ World Championship after his victory in Australia, while Kimi Antonelli also stands out in the fight for the top positions. Ferrari, Red Bull, and McLaren remain close, trying to reduce the gap and establish themselves in the dispute.
Another important point at the start of this championship is the teams’ adaptation to the new 2026 technical regulations. With significant changes in aerodynamics and power unit, the grid is still seeking the best understanding of the cars, which allows for performance variations between rounds.
Now, Formula 1 arrives in Miami, on a street circuit set up around Hard Rock Stadium, known for its long straights and strong braking zones that favor overtakes. The track also features tighter sections, requiring a good compromise between straight-line speed and cornering stability.
The Miami GP will also feature adjustments to the sporting regulations. After the first rounds, FIA and Formula 1 discussed specific points of the new technical and sporting package, opting for punctual corrections to improve the balance of the disputes, without deep structural changes.
