The statement reinforces the young driver’s growth within the paddock and fuels speculation about a possible future with the Italian team. Bearman has been part of Ferrari’s development program since he was sixteen, when he left England to move to Italy in search of an opportunity.
In an interview with the Up to Speed podcast, the young driver revealed that he had to convince Ferrari to sign him early in his career: “I actually went there and had to convince them to sign me, because they were focused on Kart drivers, not Formula 4,” he stated. He also highlighted the team’s evaluation process, based on direct on-track performance.

Bearman gained prominence by making his Formula 1 debut at the 2024 Saudi Arabian GP, replacing Carlos Sainz at Scuderia and scoring points. This performance opened doors for other participations and, subsequently, secured his spot as a full-time driver at Haas, where he continues to gain experience.
The Briton reiterated that reaching Ferrari is his main goal, but acknowledges the long road ahead: “That’s my goal, especially because of the trust they’ve had in me from the beginning. I need to prove that I’m capable,” he concluded. Meanwhile, he remains focused on his development, highlighting continuous learning with the American team.
