With the withdrawal of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs, the category now operates with less anticipated revenue. This forces teams and organizers to review financial projections for the rest of the season.
According to the Mercedes boss, different scenarios have already been considered internally, including possible logistical disruptions. The increase in transport and travel costs was also taken into account, given the scenario of instability in the Middle East.
Wolff highlighted that these factors could generate relevant indirect effects, such as impacts on fees paid by venues and sponsorship agreements. Despite this, he reinforced that the losses caused by the two canceled races are already accounted for in the team’s plans.

“All these factors are already in our projections, including more extreme scenarios, such as travel disruptions and increased freight costs,” he stated. The executive also indicated that the moment requires caution, but without panic.
Still, the Austrian expressed confidence in a possible normalization of the global situation in the coming weeks. “Like everyone else, we hope the situation calms down and everything returns to normal, to avoid further impacts in the future,” he added.
