Oliver Bearman gave an update on his health status after the accident at the Formula 1 Japanese GP. The Haas driver emphasized that he feels well, revealing that he only ended up with a small swelling on his knee.

One of the main moments of the race in Suzuka was the strong 50G crash of the British driver. Approaching Franco Colapinto at a much higher speed, he lost the car, lost control, and hit the safety barrier hard. The accident raised more debates about the new regulations and the dangers of the differences between cars during a race.
But Bearman said he already feels well and that a few days later he was already back to work in the simulator. “Yes, I’m fine, thanks for asking, I appreciate it,” he told Sportbible.

“It was difficult [the trip back home] because, obviously, after [the accident], I couldn’t move much. I had a bit of swelling on my knee, but now everything is fine. Fortunately, it was the right knee, so I’m okay,” he continued.
“Actually, I was already driving in the simulator on Wednesday or Thursday, because my brother and I were training for an endurance race on the weekend. It could have been much worse. So, I’m very, very grateful and looking forward to racing again in Miami,” he concluded.
