The statement draws attention due to the promising start of the young driver in Formula 1 and his search for references outside the category. Lindblad, only eighteen years old, said he admires dominant and successful athletes, using these examples as motivation for his own career.
The young driver’s start to the season has been considered positive. He scored points right in his debut, finishing eighth in Australia, and in the next two races he was close to returning to the top 10, just a few positions away from the points zone.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Lindblad revealed that his main role model within Formula 1 is Lewis Hamilton: “My role model is, without a doubt, Lewis Hamilton, who debuted in the main category the year I was born and won many titles when I started to take an interest in this sport,” said the young driver.

Besides the seven-time champion, the Racing Bulls driver highlighted names from other sports disciplines. Lindblad mentioned Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Marc Márquez as figures who influence his competitive mindset and approach on the track.

“I also have enormous respect for Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Marc Márquez, whose mindset I admire. They are willing to take great risks to achieve victory,” the driver stated, highlighting the aggressive and competitive profile of these athletes.
The choice of idols reinforces the young driver’s ambition in Formula 1, as all the mentioned names are recognized for their dominance in their respective disciplines. Lindblad has also shown interest in MotoGP, following the category and valuing the riding style of the main names in the category.
Lindblad’s enthusiasm for MotoGP is not uncommon among Formula 1 drivers. Lando Norris and Max Verstappen have also praised Márquez before, highlighting the Spaniard’s impact on the world of motorsport. For Lindblad, the multi-champion’s mindset continues to be an important reference in his development in F1.
