Marçal Müller started the 2026 Porsche Cup season opener on the right foot. This Saturday (28) in Interlagos, the driver started from pole position, dominated the race from start to finish and secured the victory in the Carrera Cup class.

The driver of Porsche #544 has already started activities in his best form. Both in the pre-season and in the single free practice, he was the fastest driver in the field – furthermore, he is the name defending the 2025 Overall title.
Therefore, in an interview after the race at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, with the presence of F1MANIA.NET, he could not have asked for a better start to the championship.
“It was a race in a temperature that we hadn’t worked with yet over the weekend, it got quite hot, lots of sun. The car adapted a little differently to our setup, but we managed to work around it, I set a strong pace anyway and managed to protect first place from start to finish, bringing us this victory which is very important for the championship,” he said.

Furthermore, Marçal commented on how his start to the season this year in the Porsche Cup is more positive than in 2025 – in the Sprint championship, he dealt with retirements due to tire blowouts in the first races.
“We are starting the year very differently from last year. So now it’s about focusing, we didn’t have any more flat tires, we won’t have any more flat tires, and I hope we can maintain this strong pace competing for pole position, managing to bring more victories so we have chances to reach the end of the year trying for my seventh title,” he concluded.
