NASCAR Brasil opens the season with an intense schedule in Santa Cruz do Sul

The 2026 NASCAR Brasil Series season officially begins next weekend, with the opening round taking place between April 11 and 12, at the Autódromo Internacional de Santa Cruz do Sul (RS). The circuit, inaugurated in 2005, is 3.351 meters long and has 14 curves of different speed levels, challenging a grid made up of 30 drivers.

Track activities begin on Friday (10), with the shakedown from 10h00 to 10h40. Following that, the drivers return to the circuit for the extra practice, between 12h45 and 13h30. The day also includes the first free practice, scheduled from 16h25 to 17h10, with a maximum limit of 18 laps. On Saturday (11), preparation continues with the second free practice, from 09h15 to 10h00, followed by the qualifying, which takes place from 12h35 to 13h05.

The highlight of the schedule will be on Sunday (12), when the two decisive races of the weekend take place, at 8h30 and 14h20, in addition to the podium ceremonies and public engagement activities, such as pit lane visits, drive parade and grid walk.

In total, there will be three intense days of programming. The expectation is for fierce battles in an increasingly competitive grid and with the debut of the new car, the RiSE26, marking the championship’s return to Rio Grande do Sul with the promise of a complete spectacle.
