Pipo Massa arrived with ‘both feet in the door’ in his Porsche Cup debut. In the Carrera Cup qualifying held this Saturday morning (28) at Interlagos, the son of former Formula 1 driver Felipe secured pole position in the Rookie class.

The 2026 season in the single-make category marks the debut of the 16-year-old driver in professional motorsport. Previously with experience only in karting, he is making the jump to cars.
And right in his first qualifying session, with a time of 1min37s906, he took the position of honor on the grid for later’s race at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace.
Therefore, with the result, he was happy and satisfied, as he said in an interview in the presence of F1MANIA.NET. “I am very happy, I think we managed to achieve a good result in the category. We evolved during the week to have the good result we wanted today,” he said.

The competitor also spoke about the preparation in recent days to arrive with a good result. “Preparation was the days I had here at Interlagos, yesterday and the day before yesterday. I think it was more or less that, and watching onboards, analyzing data, the part we do off the track,” he said.
Finally, Pipo Massa spoke about the expectations for the start, as it will be the first of his career. “I’m ready, let’s see what happens. Honestly, I don’t have much racing experience, it’s my first race in motorsport. But we’ll manage and see what happens,” he concluded.
