Victim of an incident in the first stage at Interlagos, the EMS Racing driver finished the free practice day of the Porsche Carrera Cup in fifth place in the Rookie class.

In his best lap, Sanchez recorded 1:31.412 on the 3.438m track at Mogi Guaçu.

The result leaves the competitor excited for Saturday’s journey, when the track will be open for the Carrera Cup qualifying practice. The first race of the weekend starts at 1:50 PM. On Sunday the final race will be held at 1:20 PM.

The races are broadcast live on the Porsche Cup digital platforms and also on Band and Bandsports channels.

The Velocitta journey promises to be the beginning of Leo Sanchez’s recovery in the points table. In 2025 he led much of the Carrera Rookie season with the Porsche #15 and fought for the title until the final stage.
