TCR South America and TCR Brasil ended Friday’s (27th) schedule with an intense second free practice session, where the 10 fastest drivers finished within the same second. The session was led by Nelson Piquet Jr. (Honda Racing), who recorded 1min04s137, the best time of the day at Autódromo Zilmar Beaux, in Cascavel (PR).

Tiago Pernía, Nelsinho’s teammate, finished second with a difference of just 0s013. Right behind came Néstor Girolami, with his Hyundai, competing for the official team of the South Korean brand. He achieved 1min04s329. Also a Honda driver, Leonel Pernía, who was one of the leaders in the first session, finished fourth with 1min04s372. Joaquín Cafaro, from Uruguay Racing Team, closed the top-5 with 1min04s441.
The sixth best time was set by Brazilian Raphael Reis, leader of TCR Brasil. The W2 Pro GP driver’s difference from the leader was 0s450. Rookie Gabriel Moura (Cobra Racing Team) maintained his good performance and remained in the top-10, with 1min04s636. Right behind came Enzo Gianfatti (G Racing), with 1min04s740. Erick Schotten (W2 Pro GP) secured the ninth time, 1min04s799, while Diego Ciantini (Hyundai) was tenth with 1min04s838.

Tomorrow the TCR qualifying takes place at 12:00, followed by Race 1, which is scheduled to start at 15:30. On Sunday, activities end with Race 2 at 14:10. The activities will be broadcast on the category’s YouTube channels and on TV Gazeta.
