Gabriel Bortoleto was unable to start the Formula 1 Chinese GP due to a technical problem with the Audi car, ending his participation in the race even before the start.

“Unfortunately, a technical problem prevented us from even starting the race today. Still, I want to thank the team for the extra effort until the last moment to try to get me back on track, I really appreciate that,” said Bortoleto.
The Brazilian driver highlighted that the race could have been a good opportunity to score points: “I think this race offered many opportunities, as many cars did not start or did not finish, so there was probably a chance for us to score points today. While this is obviously frustrating, it is something that can happen at the start of a new era of regulations,” he stated.

Despite the setback, Bortoleto highlighted positive points from the first two rounds of the season: “There are still positive things to take from these first two races. Melbourne was incredible and here in Shanghai the weekend was going well until the race, and we were fighting for good positions and had a decent pace. Now, with a two-week break before Japan, we will return to the factory, working hard with the team to find more performance in our car for the next race,” Bortoleto concluded.
The young driver maintains a positive perspective and focuses on preparation for the Japanese GP, seeking to convert his potential into points in the next rounds.
