Due to the time zone, the activities take place during Friday night in Brazil, which makes many fans wonder if “there is F1 today”. The answer is yes, as the two sessions that define the course of the weekend will be held in the early hours of the morning.
The Chinese GP Sprint will be held at 00h00 this Saturday (14), Brasília time (GMT -3). The short race awards extra points in the championship and usually generates intense battles at the Shanghai circuit, especially because of the long back straight, one of the main overtaking points on the track.
Later, at 04h00, the drivers return to the Chinese track for the qualifying that will define the pole position for the Chinese GP. The session will be held in the traditional Formula 1 format, with Q1, Q2 and Q3 defining the starting grid for the main race.
