The 2027 Formula 1 calendar was highlighted by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem as a reflection of the strong global appeal and continuous growth of the category. The season will feature 24 GPs held in 22 countries, as well as a record 10 Sprint races.

The next season will start in Bahrain on March 14 and will conclude in Abu Dhabi on December 12. Portugal and Turkey will also return to the calendar for the first time since 2021, while the Sprint format schedule will be expanded.
For Ben Sulayem, the composition of the season combines different aspects of the category’s development: “The FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar for 2027 is a strong reflection of the global appeal and continuous growth of our sport,” he said.

The FIA President also highlighted the presence of 24 GPs on five continents, the return of Portugal and Turkey, and the expansion of the Sprint program. According to him, these elements bring together ‘tradition, innovation, and fan engagement,’ maintaining established sporting standards.
Ben Sulayem also thanked the parties involved in organizing the season, including Formula 1 management, promoters, national sporting authorities, FIA representatives, volunteers, and other partners: “Together, we continue to strengthen the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and deliver an exceptional season for competitors and fans worldwide,” he concluded.
