Formula 1 released the first calendar for the 2027 season this Wednesday (16). There will be 24 rounds starting in March and ending in December, and no less than ten Sprint races, including Monaco.

The championship kicks off with collective testing in Bahrain from February 24 to 27, at the Sakhir circuit. Then, the first round of the year takes place on the same track from March 12 to 14, also hosting the first Sprint of the year.
The next stop is Saudi Arabia, in Jeddah, before the championship moves on to Australia, Japan, and China, followed by Miami and Canada. Then, the start of the European leg marks the return of Portugal in June, then Monaco, Turkey returning to the calendar in October between the Azerbaijan and Singapore rounds.
The final phase of the dates sees races in Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo, and Las Vegas, before the last two races held in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Also, according to the F1 text, “due to the continued success and high demand for the format, the number of Sprint races increased from six to ten in 2027, delivering even more competitiveness throughout the season for fans, promoters, broadcasters, and partners.” The Sprint arrived in 2021 on the calendar and since then, it shows that the audience increases by 12% compared to traditional format weekends.
Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco, and Abu Dhabi will host Sprint events for the first time. Also, returns to Montreal, Silverstone, Monza, São Paulo, which was left out only this year of 2026, and Lusail.
