Three-time NASCAR Brazil champion Gabriel Casagrande embarks on a new challenge in the United States in NASCAR, this time at Bristol Motor Speedway, one of the most traditional ovals in North American motorsport. The driver conducted tests this Monday (14) at Caraway Speedway, in North Carolina, and has high expectations for the 200-lap race this Thursday (17) with the MCM Racing team in the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) category. NASCAR’s developmental competition has been the stage for drivers who became Cup Series champions like Kyle Busch and Joey Logano.

Casagrande will drive the number 38 Toyota Camry with support from Aeropark Camboriú and Baterias Júpiter. The Paraná driver won in his debut on a NASCAR North American developmental oval circuit in 2025, when he competed in Pro Late Model with NEXUS Racing and Surf USA Mobile in New Smyrna, where he returned to race in February this year.
“I am very excited for this new challenge in the United States. It is a great opportunity to participate in this race at Bristol, an oval with so much history for NASCAR fans. I thank my sponsors for their support that made this possible and also the work of NASCAR Brazil. We will try to bring more positive results home,” says Casagrande, who is the leader of the national championship in 2026.

The AMS schedule includes a practice session this Thursday, followed by qualifying and the race on the same day. The start is scheduled for 6:30 PM Brasília time. Due to commitments in the USA, Casagrande will compete in the NASCAR Brazil schedule in Curvelo (MG) starting Saturday.
