Formula 3 holds the last Sprint race of the 2026 season early this Saturday morning (12), scheduled for Madring, a circuit located in Madrid, Spain. The grid, which takes into account the inversion of the top 12 from the classification held this afternoon, will have James Wharton, an Australian from Prema, on pole position for the short race.

The second position on the grid will be taken by Theóphile Nael, a Campos Racing driver who completes the front row of the grid. Alex Powell, from Prema, starts third, followed by Bruno del Pino, fourth with a Van Amersfoort car. The group of the top five on the Sprint grid in the Spanish capital also includes Alessandro Giusti, from MP Motorsport.
The two title contenders start from quite different positions. Ugo Ugochukwu starts from ninth position with the Campos Racing car, beginning the contest within the points zone. Meanwhile, Freddie Slater, the championship leader, only managed 17th position on the grid with Trident for both the short race and the first main race, also scheduled for Saturday.

The Brazilian drivers also have quite different positions on the Sprint grid. Pedro Clerot will start from 11th position, one place below the points zone, with the Rodin Motorsport car, while Fernando Barrichello starts the contest from 25th place with AIX Racing.
The Sprint race of the Madrid round of F3 starts at 6:05 AM.
