Formula 3 concludes its 2026 season this weekend with the Madrid stage in Spain, scheduled for the Madring circuit. The race will determine the champion in a contest featuring four title contenders, two of them in direct battle, and two others with only mathematical chances: Freddie Slater, Ugo Ugochukwu, Ernesto Rivera, and Theóphile Nael.

With three races contested over the weekend, the Formula 3 decision starts with Slater leading with 141 points, against 126 for Ugochukwu, the second-placed driver. Rivera has 76 and is third, just ahead of Nael, with 75. Out of the title fight, Pedro Clerot is 12th with 48 points, while Fernando Barrichello is 27th with two points on the standings.
A total of 67 points are at stake, and with the Sprint opening the triple round, it is certain that Slater will remain in the lead after the first race of the weekend. On the other hand, Rivera and Nael may say goodbye to the title fight already on Friday, due to the need for both to score practically all the extra points to keep championship chances.
The Formula 3 schedule will open on Friday, when the only free practice of the weekend and the qualifying session that will determine the starting positions for the races in Madrid will be held. Saturday will have two races: the Sprint at 6:05 AM, and the main race at 1 PM. The championship decision takes place on Sunday at 4:45 AM. F1TV broadcasts the entire schedule live.
