Lando Norris was impressed with the pace shown by Kimi Antonelli and George Russell during the Formula 1 Italian GP last weekend.

The Brit went to Monza with renewed hopes coming off two consecutive wins in Hungary and the Netherlands. However, at the ‘Temple of Speed’, he did not have enough pace to catch the Mercedes duo and had to settle for fourth place.
“We saw in previous races that Red Bull can be very fast on this type of circuit, with good top speeds and everything, and that was confirmed again. They were better than us,” he said.

“But it became clear that Mercedes is still on a different level compared to us. You know, we won by bigger margins in the last races, and they were still fighting for good points on those occasions. We didn’t even come close to fighting for the top two positions,” he continued.
“It’s frustrating, but we had already said that before the weekend. We know what our expectations are and that we still have work to do, something we were already aware of. So, it’s no surprise. We just need to work on low and medium speed corners, on the car’s stability, which simply isn’t good enough, and on straight-line speed. If we manage to fix that, we will have solved a lot,” he concluded.
