Kimi Antonelli achieved an impressive victory at the Italian GP, the 13th round of the 2026 Formula 1 season. This Sunday (6), the Mercedes driver started only from 19th position due to a penalty related to the power unit, crossed the field, reached the lead still in the first half of the race, and overtook George Russell in the final straight to win in front of the Italian crowd in Monza. Russell completed the Mercedes one-two in second place, while Max Verstappen finished third. Lando Norris passed Oscar Piastri on the last lap to finish fourth, with the Australian in fifth. Lewis Hamilton was sixth, followed by Pierre Gasly, Arvid Lindblad, Franco Colapinto, and Yuki Tsunoda, who completed the top 10.

Gabriel Bortoleto finished outside the points zone after a race of ups and downs. The Brazilian started tenth, dropped to 19th at the second start after the red flag caused by Charles Leclerc’s heavy accident, but began a recovery and got close to the top 10 again. A Virtual Safety Car appeared at an unfavorable moment for his strategy and helped complicate the Audi driver’s race again.
