Last Saturday Marcos Regadas competed in the first race of the seventh stage of the Porsche Cup, at Interlagos. The driver from Maranhão finished eighth in a race marked by rain, safety car interventions, and an early finish.

In the morning, Regadas took part in qualifying and secured 11th place on the grid for the first race. The session was held on a wet track, bringing difficulties for all drivers.
The start took place behind the safety car, but as soon as the green flag was waved, the Maranhão driver advanced two positions and showed speed on the wet track with low visibility. On the fourth lap, the safety car was deployed and the race restarted one lap later.
Regadas again made a good restart and moved up to eighth place, but a multiple accident on the back straight caused the organization to deploy the safety car again and after eight laps completed the race was declared ended early.

This Sunday Marcos Regadas returns to the José Carlos Pace circuit for the second race of the stage. The race takes place at 1:40 PM with live broadcast on Band and the category’s digital media.

“This race was literally blind, a difficult race, I was gaining positions and still couldn’t see anything. It was more a mental race than a technical one, my reference was the brake lights of the other cars. I love this condition, but it was scary and for me to say that means we were in a tough condition. In the end, we had a good result and we are going for another good race tomorrow.”
