“We were quite strong in the race, which is positive, considering our expectations yesterday weren’t that high,” said Leclerc. “I had a good start and learned a lot in the first laps. There are many things to manage at the same time, energy distribution, tires, overtaking, and I am satisfied with how I handled the situation inside the car,” he said.

He highlighted, however, that the team still didn’t have enough pace to maintain the lead: “Unfortunately, we didn’t have the speed to hold onto first place later in the race,” he added.
