Marçal Müller once again climbed to the top step of the podium in the 2026 Porsche Cup season. In a race mostly behind the safety car this Saturday (5) at Interlagos, he was the first to cross the finish line.

The weather conditions over the weekend in São Paulo are quite complicated. After a sunny free practice Friday, a lot of rain has marked the qualifying day and race 1.
Müller, championship leader, secured pole position for both races at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace. In the first, only eight laps and ended due to rain and a serious accident, he managed to climb to the top step of the podium and scored important points for the championship.

“The race started with conditions to have a race, right. It was not such heavy rain and then it kept increasing, increasing, after the first safety car, where it became impossible to drive. We were aquaplaning on the straights, unfortunately, I think this accident happened because of that too, or maybe due to lack of visibility where there were many cars behind,” he told F1MANIA.NET.
“But the important thing is that we managed to get two poles, we did our job, we did what could be done and securing this victory for the championship is more important than ever to try to do well tomorrow too and arrive at the last stage of the championship with the best possible chance to take another Sprint championship home,” he added.
