He opened Friday in São Paulo with third place in the first optional practice, was runner-up in the second session, and returned to third place in the free practice that closed the day. His best time was 1:37.307, precisely in the final session. He was only 0.249s behind the best time of the day, set by Marçal Muller.
All activities on the opening day of the seventh stage of the season were held on a dry track, but drivers and engineers were all watching the weather forecast, as there is an expectation of temperature drop and rain throughout the weekend in the São Paulo capital.
For Comparatto, who raced many wet track races this year in the Porsche Cup Ibérica earlier in the year, the #118 car sponsored by Shell is well set up regardless of the scenario.

Another particularity of the stage is the fact that there are two qualifying sessions, since in the penultimate and last stages of the Porsche Cup sprint championship there is no grid inversion in race 2 and both award the full 28 points to the winner.

“The dry track this weekend unfortunately will not mean that much due to the weather forecast. But we finished the three practices in the top 3 and that is important because we know the car is well balanced and we are motivated for the weekend.”
