Racing Bulls ended Friday in Monza with reasons to believe in a good performance in the qualifying session for the Formula 1 Italian GP. Arvid Lindblad was seventh in FP1 and FP2, while Yuki Tsunoda advanced to tenth place in the second session.

Lindblad’s performance drew attention mainly with the medium tires, when the driver showed a pace considered very strong. Alan Permane, team principal, explained that traffic prevented a full assessment of the young driver’s performance with the softs.
“Arvid was absolutely flying with the medium tires in the second session, but we couldn’t see where he would be with the softs due to a bit of traffic on his lap,” said Permane. The manager also highlighted Tsunoda’s progress, who found greater stability at the rear and was more satisfied with the car’s behavior.

Tsunoda finished FP1 in 12th and FP2 in 10th, acknowledging that he had some difficulties during the first session and is still adapting to the car’s characteristics: “There are still some things to adjust, but we have a good direction,” assessed the Japanese driver, who also emphasized the importance of understanding energy usage during the race.
Permane stated that the team is still working to define energy usage strategies and believes there is lap time to be found in this aspect: “The qualifying session will not be simple, but I am confident that we can reach Q3,” concluded the Racing Bulls chief.
