F1: Bortoleto is 15th in TL2 and faces engine problem in Monza

The second free practice session of Formula 1 for the Italian GP, which took place on the morning of this Friday (4), in Monza, was stagnant for Gabriel Bortoleto. The Brazilian from Audi even managed to improve his time compared to FP1, but he could not progress with the soft tires and finished the session only in 15th place after an engine failure. Bortoleto went out on track with hard tires, being one of the first to leave the pits. After a warm-up lap, he recorded 1min24s666. He continued with a sequence of laps, lowering to 1min24s111, getting close to his soft tire time in FP1, which was 1min24s006. Then, he went back to the pits.

He returned after a quick stop and, still on hard tires, managed to record 1min23s776. Then, he went back to the pits again. Audi sent Bortoleto back to the track with 30 minutes still on the clock and soft tires. On his first attempt at a fast lap, he slightly went off track. Gabriel still did a few laps and went to the pits.

In the last 15 minutes, Bortoleto went out on track with hard tires and did a new sequence of laps, without improving the time.

With engine problems, Gabriel finished the session being called to the pits early and, as a result, finishing in 15th place.
