Gabriel Bortoleto finished the Formula 1 Australian GP in the points zone this Sunday (8). And for the good result, Audi used social media to thank the Brazilian driver’s performance.

The race in Melbourne marked the first for the four-rings team as a team on the category’s grid. And while Nico Hülkenberg had problems and couldn’t even race, the driver of car #5 was the opposite.
Gabriel started from tenth position at Albert Park. During the race, he then took advantage of the activation of some virtual safety cars to go to the pits to change tires and gain speed.

In the end, he gained one position compared to the start of the race and crossed the finish line in ninth place, scoring two points. And for the result, Audi thanked the Brazilian through a post on social media.
“Thank you, Gabi! Incredible result for our first race! Is this real?”, they wrote in Portuguese on their Instagram profile.
