Steiner, speaking about Aston Martin’s situation, said on The Red Flags podcast, “After what I saw on Friday and Saturday, in qualifying for the sprint and the sprint race itself, I thought: ‘Wow, I think we overreacted a bit to their resurgence.’ And then, with Saturday’s qualifying for the main race, the feeling was: ‘Damn, things are not going in the right direction.’”

“What we saw here was a typical Fernando performance, doing the race with just one stop. That was their salvation. He managed to keep a decent pace and, what helps the team at the moment, is that there are now really three teams at the back of the grid, very far from all the others,” he added.
