While Zandvoort is characterized by its narrow layout, elevation changes, and banked corners, Monza puts maximum speed in the spotlight. Known as the “Temple of Speed,” the circuit demands aerodynamic efficiency, power, and stability in heavy braking zones from the cars.

With a length of 5.793 km, Monza features some of the highest speeds of the season. The long straights are interspersed with chicanes and historic corners, such as the two Lesmos, the Ascari Chicane, and the Alboreto Curve, formerly Parabolica. Teams usually adopt low downforce setups specific to this round, aiming to reduce drag and maximize performance on the straights.

Qualifying also gains importance given the grid’s balance, but the race usually offers overtaking opportunities thanks to the slipstream, long acceleration zones, and heavy braking. Strategy, tire wear, and pit stop efficiency can again play a key role in determining the outcome.

The tifosi usually fill the stands at Monza and turn the weekend into one of the most characteristic atmospheres on the calendar.

For Gabriel Bortoleto, the round represents another opportunity to score points for Audi in his second year in Formula 1. The Brazilian arrives at the final part of the season trying to continue the progress shown throughout the championship.

The Italian GP weekend will be held in the conventional format. The schedule will have two free practice sessions on Friday, FP3 and qualifying on Saturday, while the race takes place on Sunday.
