Vice-leader of the Formula 3 championship, Ugo Ugochukwu was the fastest driver on Tuesday (25) during the category’s collective tests at Madring, a circuit located in Madrid, Spain. In the first of two activities of the day at the newest Formula 1 circuit, the American from Campos Racing recorded his best lap time of 1min49s034, the best time of the test session that started on Monday.

The second position went to Hiyu Yamakoshi, a Van Amersfoort driver who was 0.193 seconds slower than Ugochukwu. Enzo Deligny, also from Van Amersfoort, was third, followed by Ernesto Rivera, fourth with a Campos Racing car. The top five group was completed by Tuukka Taponen, a driver from MP Motorsport.

Bruno Del Pino, another Van Amersfoort driver, ended the day with the sixth best time, followed by Yevan David, seventh with AIX Racing. Kanato Le, from ART Grand Prix, was eighth, finishing ahead of his teammate, Taito Kato. The fastest in the afternoon and best on Monday, Freddie Slater was tenth with Trident.

The Brazilian drivers had different performances. Pedro Clerot recorded the 12th best time with the Rodin Motorsport car, also being the sixth fastest in the afternoon session. Fernando Barrichello, who caused a red flag, ended the day with the 29th time with AIX Racing. Both drivers completed 50 laps.
After the tests, the category turns its attention to the penultimate stage of the season, scheduled for September 4, 5, and 6 at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Italy.
