Franco Colapinto received a drive-through penalty after overtaking Yuki Tsunoda during the yellow flag period at turn 14 on the opening lap in Zandvoort. The competitor also received two more points on his Super License, totaling three for the next 12 months.
In a released text, the French team accepted the penalties to the Argentine driver, despite seeing it as a strict measure. “As a team, we work closely with the sport’s regulatory body on the rules of on-track competition, aiming to ensure fair and exciting races and, above all, safety,” they wrote.

“We have full trust in the FIA and the stewards regarding the enforcement of these rules and the application of sporting penalties during the race. We believe that the penalties applied for infractions related to the yellow flag during the early laps of the Dutch GP were indeed strict; however, we recognize that they are in accordance with the letter of the regulations and were applied consistently to all competitors, which is something that, as a team, we can analyze and learn from,” they concluded.
