Max Verstappen retired to the Red Bull motorhome after his crash and retirement from the Formula 1 Dutch GP last Sunday (23). But the driver was not doing anything unusual, he just wanted to watch the rest of the race calmly.

The Dutchman’s last lap at Zandvoort in front of the home crowd ended at the end of the first lap: hitting a section with water accumulated on the asphalt, he lost control of the RB22 at the entrance to the main straight, hit the wall hard and saw the end of his race, still triggering a red flag.
After the whole race, the Red Bull driver was only seen by Viaplay cameras, and when asked why he was missing from the paddock, he replied, “Yeah, I just wanted to watch the race a bit. So, I took some time for that.”
