The competitor’s performance during the time at Zandvoort has been very positive. In the Sprint, he finished in ninth place, and now for the main race he will also start from ninth position, lining up on the fifth row alongside Arvid Lindblad.

Speaking before the start of the Dutch GP, the last of Formula 1, he highlighted that he expects to maintain good performance in the race and believes he can finish inside the top 10. “Look, I think it has been a great weekend for us, obviously I want to end this weekend even better, if possible,” he told SporTV.

“We know we are starting from ninth, let’s say that is the realistic position we can reach today with the car’s pace we have, there is a bit of a gap to the top four teams today who are ahead of us, but you never know. If I can take some positions in the first laps, a good strategy, nothing is impossible, I don’t like to limit myself just because I think we have taken everything out of the car. I’m sure we have extracted, more or less, at the limit, but nothing is impossible,” he continued.

When asked by Julia Guimarães what the main challenge of the Zandvoort track is, he answered that “I think it’s what you said, the sand, there is a lot of sand on the track, so if you go a little off the line you start to slide a lot, and when you are fighting against other cars it is quite challenging.”

“But I also think that if you get into a good position to make an overtake, it’s a very difficult track to overtake on, but if you take some different lines there in the last sector and the guy in front makes some mistakes, maybe an opportunity opens up. So, we’ll see,” he concluded.
